BiographyBilly Rash grew up the son of a Baptist minister, and, like most of you, joined the 4-H and FFA organizations in school. After high school he attended and graduated with a bachelor and a masters degree from Sam Houston State University. While attending SHSU he was a member of the collegiate Rodeo Team. He says he probably spent more time at rodeo's than college classes.
After college he began teaching Agriculture Science at Santa Fe ISD. While teaching and working with FFA members and their livestock projects, he began to think about allowing 4-H and FFA members more opportunities to exhibit their steer projects. The TCCA was created from these thoughts through the help of Cherie, Randy, Ryan, and tons of other great people. The TJLA organization has grown from this beginning to where it is today.
Rash has judged livestock shows in several states, his favorite being judging the Feeder Pens of Prospect Steers and the individual Prospect Steers at the National Western in Denver. He sincerely enjoys judging Showmanship Contest.
He and his wife, Jane own and operate Rash Livestock at Willis, Texas. They raise, buy, and sell show steers, heifers, and pigs to 4-H and FFA youngsters all over the country. "We hope you have a great show. Thank you for dedicating the show to Randy."
