I am a 7th generation livestock producer, with my own family raising Hereford cattle for 18 years and showing dairy goats, boer goats, and various breeds of swine for over a decade.

I was an avid member of FFA, placing in the State for public speaking and competing in various livestock judging competitions. I went on to college on a Competitive Speech scholarship and to pursue a Masters Degree in Professional Writing. My thesis was on how Cattle Exhibitors and Producers use Digital Media and how it can improve their own marketability and educating others on the practice of showing. I now teach between Southeastern Illinois Community College and John A. Logan College.

I continue to stay involved in FFA, the agricultural community through membership with the Farm Bureau and Young Farmers [Leaders]. My mother and I are leaders of the H2H 4-H club in our county. I also keep up with showing in the cattle and goat communities. While I have assisted my brother with exhibiting and taking care of swine and have been active with other 4-H swine exhibitors, my main passion is working with cattle and helping out young showmen with cattle genetics and in showing goats. My first official judging was the Pope County goat show and assisting to judge the Showmanship for goats and cattle.

I love working with youth, continuing education on livestock and passion within the industry, and would be happy to judge at your show!
