Charles Burenheide is the owner of a large Sim-Angus cow-calf operation on the Western Slope of Colorado. Growing up in production agriculture Charles grew up showing and judging livestock all over the nation. He was a competitive livestock judger at Northeastern Junior College having multiple Top 10 finishes. He then went on to Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor’s in Animal Science and was extremely competitive on the 1989 Reserve National Champion Team finishing 3rd overall at the North American in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been an official at multiple judging contests, both county and state level, hosted practices for local 4-H and FFA teams, and coached many 4-H livestock judging teams, including the 2011 Colorado State Champion 4-H Livestock Judging Team. Charles has judged multiple livestock shows all over the nation including the Utah and Wyoming State Fair Heifer and Steer shows.


Received a BS in Animal Science from Texas A&M University, Class of 1989.
Received Associates Degree from Northeastern Junior College, 1987.
