BiographyTyler Krug was raised on a farm in East Central Iowa near the small town of Atkins. Early on, he was involved heavily in 4-H then FFA, exhibiting beef cattle at all levels. From this background, he followed his passion of agriculture to Ames, IA where he studied at Iowa State University. Heavily involved in the College of Ag and Block & Bridle, Tyler was also a member of the 2013 ISU Livestock Judging Team. Upon graduation, he pursued a career in the precision ag and agronomy field working with farmers across the Midwest. Today, he resides in West Des Moines but still plays an active role in the family's row crop operation and manages a small cow/calf beef herd which is comprised of primarily Simmental and Angus influenced cows. Tyler enjoys the interaction and impact he has when working with young exhibitors, hoping that his small part in their project leads to a lifetime of success, which was possible through agriculture and livestock shows in particular.
