BiographyMy name is Tyler Maltsberger and I'm originally from Helotes, TX where I grew up raising and showing cattle and sheep through 4H and FFA. I was fortunate in my experience growing up in these youth organizations to be influenced by many great advisors and leaders that helped develop my passion for both agriculture and livestock production. My first experience with livestock evaluation came from my competitive desire for more success in the show ring as a young exhibitor. I was introduced to the livestock judging teams and as they say the rest is history. After I graduated from Sandra Day O'Connor High School in 2007 I attended Clarendon College where I had the privilege to judge for two years. When the time came for me to move on to a Sr. College there was only one logical choice for me. The opportunity to judge for Ryan Rathmann on the 2010 Livestock Team at Texas Tech was one that I am truly grateful I was able to experience. I developed myself not only as an evaluator of livestock but as an agriculturalist with a passion to pass on and share what I had gained. At Texas Tech I received an undergraduate degree in Animal Science- Livestock Production and completed post graduate studies in Agriculture Education. Currently I am an Ag Science Teacher in Ingram, TX where my wife Mallory and I produce Hampshire club lambs and crossbred club calves.
