BiographyHowdy! My name is Kallie Kohls York from Christoval, TX. I am the owner/operator of Kallie-Harie Reds, wife to Brian York, stepmother to LIndsey and Dalton York, mother to Kohlson York, daughter of Norman and Kathy Kohls, and I have been active in the livestock industry all my life. I grew up showing Rambouillet sheep, pigs, horses, and goats. I graduated from Garden City High School in 1994, went to livestock judge for South Plains College, and later finished my Bachelor's degree in 1998 while judging for Texas A&M University in Agriculture Development with an emphasis in speech communication. I am just finishing my term on the American Boer Goat Association board of directors, where I was also Secretary for one year. I have also served as an advisor to the Junior American Boer Goat Association for several years. I have raised various champion wethers, does, and bucks across the country. I give speeches for Progressive Farmer's Farm and Ranch Safety Days since in 1991 I was injured in a farm accident that has left me paralyzed. I am a TCMGA lifetime member award winner, and a proud supporter of the first shows of TCGMA. Family, livestock and youth are my life, and I am honored to have had various opportunities to work with all types of youth from various backgrounds and social standings, as well as working with Autistic children, since my son Kohlson was diagnosed in 2008.
