BiographyAs a FFA member I actively showed cattle and pigs from a young age. At the same time I was active on both meat and livestock judging teams in high school. After high school, I went to Texas Tech Univeristy were I was a member of the wool (2000), meat (2001), livestock (2002), and meat animal evaluation (2003) teams. I was also the coach of the 2003 wool juding team at Texas Tech University. I graduated in May 2003 and from there I went on to Angelo State University were I was the coach of the 2005 meat judging team. After graduating from ASU I went back to Texas Tech to pursue my Ph.D. in Animal Science. At that time I helped coach the meat animal evaluation team in 2006 and 2007. I have judged several local and county shows throughout the state of Texas, as well as a small number of jackpots throughout the state. Additionally, I have judged county market swine shows in Colorado. I am currently married and have two kids, Beth and Cole. Presently, I own a small group of cows designed to raise club calves.
