BiographyI love working with youth exhibitors and strongly believe in the incredible value of youth livestock projects.
I've judged shows in 25 states, ranging from state fairs and jackpot/preview shows to county fairs, plus officiated numerous livestock judging contests. A couple of my biggest honors have been judging at the North American International Livestock Exposition, serving as a sheep and goat official for the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest at the North American, and judging the market lambs at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
Judging beef cattle and sheep are my favorites, but I've judged many meat goat, hog, and dairy shows.
I was National Champion Sheep Judge and placed in the top-20 nationally in beef cattle when judging for the University of Nebraska and coached Purdue University's Livestock Judging Team while working on my Master's Degree.
I've raised champion beef cattle, sheep, and hogs at all levels of competition, giving me a personal, functional perspective and appreciation of livestock evaluation.
I'm currently employed as an Animal Science Instructor and Judging Team Coordinator at Texas A&M University-Commerce, at Commerce, Texas.
