BiographyKaty Satree was born and raised on a registered Angus ranch in North Central Texas. Katy enjoyed a successful junior career raising and showing heifers and steers including the Supreme Champion heifer at the 2008 Houston Livestock Show and the Reserve Supreme heifer at the 2002 San Antonio Livestock Show. Katy is also recognized as a breeder and exhibitor of some of the nations top Angus and Chianina genetics. Her successes have included breeding and showing the Grand Champion Angus bull at the 2011 National Western Stock Show in Denver (DAJS Shockwave 612) and the Reserve Grand Champion Chianina Bull (DAJS The Silver Bullet 546) at the 2011 NAILE in Louisville. Katy's Showmanship skills have also been nationally recognized being named Champion Showman overall at the 2007 American Royal in Kansas City.
Katy has completed her Associate degree in Animal Science at Butler County Community College in El Dorado, Kansas where she was a member of their nationally recognized junior college livestock judging team. Most recently she finished 11th individual overall in the carload contest at the 2012 National Western (Denver). In the Fall Katy will resume here studies at Texas Tech university to complete her degree in Animal Science with a meat science emphasis.
