BiographyNick Mauck was born, raised and still resides in his home town of Gaston, Indiana, where he farms about 4000 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat and feeds 12,000 commercial hogs per year. In addition he works as a show feeds specialist for Sunglo Feed, has a family catering business called Mauck's Meat Company and has a small show pig sow herd. He stated showing livestock when he was five and for 10 years in 4-H competed at the local, state, and national levels. He won the state 4-H judging contest in his senior year in high school. He attended Lake Land Junior College where he was on the national champion judging team and won reasons at Louisville. He next enrolled at Michigan State University where he completed his Animal Science and Ag Business degrees. At MSU he was a member of a two time National Champion Livestock Judging team coached by Jason Roundtree. At the national contest he tied for high individual with one of his closest friends. While judging for a show in Phoenix, Arizona, he met Meredith Landford who is now his wife. Mauck say that "there is no doubt in my mind that junior livestock programs play a vital role in developing our young people". He looks forward to seeing great livestock and working with great livestock kids at the show.
