Jim Missildine has been an agricultural science teacher at Marion High School for 29 years. He received his bachelor's degree in 1978 and his master's degree in 1983 from Southwest Texas State University. He received his administrative certification from St. Mary's University in 2003. His teaching assignments include the supervision of market steers, market lambs and market goats. He trains livestock evaluation teams and meats evaluation teams. He advised the 1988 and 2001 state winning FFA livestock teams.

He has been married for 30 years to wife, Cathy. They have two children that have followed his professional path into education, Justin and Keli.
